 THE TOUR OF CHAOS - GODDAMMIT COURTNEY: SPEAK!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - If you followed Hole's last tour, you will know that it was bordered by broken ribs, broken legs, dehydration, shock, cuts, bruises, and even death. This section is my, along with a couple of others, attempt to open people's eyes, and make them see what moshing can cause, and perhaps we can save lives by doing so. I realize that a webpage can only do so much, and therefore I plead to the members of Hole, or any other "authority" that has the power to make people listen: If you read this, PLEASE help us get this into the open. As long as people keep shrugging their shoulders when hearing people got hurt and even killed at a concert, it will continue to happen. Fans don't always listen to other fans, but fans listen to the bands/artists they love, some even go as far as to trying to live their lives according to what their idols have to say. (Believe me, I've seen it happen). Courtney took verbal action against the rapes during Woodstock 1999, and for the life of me, I can't understand why she didn't do the same after hearing someone died during Hole's performance at the Hultsfred festival, Sweden, June 17th (or 18th, since it was past midnight), 1999. There wasn't one word of warning, no condolensces to the family and friends, no nothing. Just a press person telling us the band freaked out when they heard about it. Now, if they did, and if they think what happened was so awful, why haven't we heard anything? A girl that was MORE than used to mosh pits, died during their show, and they don't say a word? Sure, we got an "Oh my God, that's terrible" in a Swedish newspaper interview with Courtney, but after that: nothing, zip, nada, didley squat. It's almost as if they don't want to touch the whole tragedy even with a 10 foot pole, hoping that it'll go away. But it won't go away. I refuse to let people forget what happened, and I will ram my story down their throats if I have to... I just wish Courtney or any of the other members would say SOMETHING about it.
