 - - - - - - - - - - - - - SUNDAY, JUNE 22ND, 1999, LE ZENITH, PARIS, FRANCE By dyinglove We left Lyon at 2 in the morning. During all the night, Mom drived the car to go to Paris. I arrived at "Zenith" (concert area in Paris) at 10 in the morning. I met 2 very friendly "supporters" and we spent time togother until the opening of the doors (5 in the afternoon). I was very close to the scene (2nd row) and I saw "Everlast & Bush" (first part of the concert). Hole arrived 30 minutes later. It was impossible for me to resist. I couldn't breath, it was very hot and I was very excited ... and tired too !!!! 3 or 4 guards made me get out from the crowd. I was desapointed : the first part of the concert was too long! When the first words of "Old age" came to my hears, I fall into tears. I was very desapointed to be so far away from the scene ... I was seing Courtney as smal as a fly ... During the song "Violet", I was shouting the words but I couldn't accept to be so distant from the scene. I moved into the crowd and tried to go to this side of the scene when Courtney often comes. When Melissa began to sing "Melissa" from Julien Clerc, crowd started shouting. It was creazy !!!!! I remember : I was staggered when Courtney began singing "I know all the time" without any musical instrument., just before "boys on the radio". Crowd was listening with fascination. It was the same thing for "Northern star". Some people shouted the words, some other people couldn't move anymore and others, as me, were lintening ... During this song, I was closer to Courtney as never. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember very well all the concert but it is for me a marvellous image in my mind of my first concert. When the concert has been finished, I tried to see the stars near their cars. About 20 "supporters" were already there. 30 minutes later, Gavin arrived. He signed for me my ticket. Just before signing, he said "Ho, hole and guest". Few minutes later, Courtney and Melissa arrived too. My Gog, what an excitement into the crowd !!!!! I couldn't believe it !!!! Courtney was by the side of me. She came to me and signed my poster. I was watching her when she was talking to the other supporters but I couldn't tell anything !!!! I was too surprised and happy ! She stayed with us about 15 minutes and she left in her van. She was wearing a small green skirt. She was lovely in this skirt !!! It made bring out her eyes ! At this moment, I realised Melissa, Eric & Sam were there ! Then I approached to Missy and asked her to sign the cover of the french rock&roll magazine "les inrockuptibles". Missy told me in french "ho, je ne connaissais pas ça !" (Oh, I doesn't know it) and signed it with a very nice smile. Thereafter, I came to Eric and he signed the cover too. I saw Sam in another van. She was waiting for Missy and Eric! I hadn't the time to go and see her : Eric and Missy went up by van ! I gave a sign with one's hand to her and she smiled at me. We forgot her a little bit when we were with Courtney !!! I have no pictures, no souvenirs of this meeting ! Everything is in my head. It was really incredible! It was about 1 in the morning when we came back home with this incredible thing in our head! A the opposite of the tour "Live through this" the group had only one show in Paris. We had the only one concert of the group in France since 1995.
