KID ROCK ASKS COURTNEY LOVE TO APPEAR IN NEW VIDEO

Hole is considering releasing another video before its pair of Lilith dates, as the band shot performance footage of "Awful" during its stint on the Australian Big Day Out Festival in January.
Aside from the group's new video, Hole frontwoman Courtney Love may be appearing in the clip for Kid Rock's upcoming single, "Cowboy." The premise for Kid Rock's video is a takeoff on the film "The People Vs. Larry Flynt," and since Love starred in the flick as Flynt's wife, Althea, Rock thought she'd be perfect for the clip.
The MTV Radio Network ran into both Rock and Love backstage at the 1999 MTV Movie Awards and heard Rock put the question to Love about possibly appearing in the video.
"Hey, do you wanna be in my next video?" Rock asked Love. "We're doing this thing called 'Cowboy' and we're gonna do a spin-off --" "Totally," Love said. "I love your record." "It's gonna be a takeoff of 'The People Vs. Larry Flynt," Rock said. "Sam," Love said, calling out for Hole's drummer, Samantha Maloney, "y'know, Kid Rock is being nice to me and asked me to be in his video." "He's got a badass girl drummer," Maloney answered, "just like you do." "She likes you better than I do," Hole said of Maloney, "she gave me your record even before the Eminem record. She's from Queens and she's turning me on to certain music, because I'm way too white." "Yeah, I saw you in New York one time," Maloney told Rock. "So, like, I'm learning," Love said, "but it's good, it's good. I'll be in your video."
"Yeah," Rock said, "because it's totally gonna be a spin on 'Flynt.'" "As long as you don't make me into a slut," Love said. "No," Rock said before hedging, "well"
"I'm only playing heroic parts," Love said, "I'm sorry, Kid." "Well, then how about a heroic slut," Rock asked. "Heroic sluts are good," Love said. "I'm into that." No word yet on whether a Kid Rock/Courtney Love pairing will actually happen on video, but we'll keep you posted.
