HOLE PARTS WAYS WITH MANAGEMENT

Q-Prime lost another high-profile act on Thursday (March 25), as Hole, like the Smashing Pumpkins a few months back, parted ways with the management company for reasons unclear at press time, according to a source close to the band.

"I don't know any details but I know they are no longer working together," said the source, who requested anonymity.

It could neither be confirmed nor denied that Hole actually fired Q-Prime, which was the original speculation as of Thursday. Late last year, the Smashing Pumpkins left Q-Prime for reasons not completely clear, but word on the street was the band felt like they were not getting enough personal attention due to other high- maintenance acts like Hole and Tool, who had been wrapped up in a drawn-out legal battle with their former label, Freeworld Entertainment (Allstar, Dec. 7, 1998).

Spokespeople for Hole at Q-Prime had not returned calls at press time while counterparts at Geffen offered up a friendly "No comment."
