As the proud mom told MTV News' John Norris, Frances has the best qualities of both her mother and her father, Kurt Cobain, with a little Sporty Spice thrown in. "When she went swimming in the gene pool, she picked the best from both, she did!" cheered Courtney. "She got some good stuff, and she's really strong and lean. She's really into Sporty Spice too.... She was going to a birthday party and I said, 'Frances, would you like to wear a dress to the birthday party?' She's like, 'jeans and t-shirt,' and I was like... 'Sporty!'" My condollences to the fans :( The Edgefest Montreal date on July 4 has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. edgefest.net - here's a note that is on the edgefest site regarding purchased tickets: Montreal EdgeFest Date Cancelled Yes, it's true. Due to scheduling conflicts, the July 4 date at Parterre - Parc des Iles has been cancelled. Several of the groups have notified the EdgeFest producers that it would not be possible to perform four dates in a row. The tour currently includes July 1 & 2 in Toronto, a July 3 date in Ottawa and the July 4 date originally scheduled for Montreal. If you bought a ticket to the Montreal show, don't fret, you can still use your ticket to attend the Ottawa concert on July 3 at the Rideau Carleton Raceway. A special ticket wicket will be set up at the entrance to the Ottawa show in order for Montreal ticketholders to simply exchange their Montreal tickets for one that gains them entrance to the Ottawa concert. There'll be no additional service charges. A map to the Ottawa concert site will be posted in the near future right here on edgefest.net. If you bought a ticket to the Montreal show and you want a refund, just go to your original point of purchase before July 3. The organizers of EdgeFest sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused. 2 more tour dates have been added, Hole will be playing Fuji Festival August 1st in Japan and May 29-30 the Edgefest 6 Festival in Somerset, Wisconsin.
