COURTNEY SLAMS TV CHIEFS

Hole star furious after Jane’s Addiction live set is cut short

COURTNEY LOVE was at the centre of controversy last week when she turned up in the audience for Jane’s Addiction’s scheduled performance on top US TV show ‘Saturday Night Live’
Courtney was tucked away in the crowd, next to her buddy Michael Stipe of REM - but still managed to to get into a ruck with the show’s producers.
As the show ran behind schedule, Jane’s Addiction’s planned second number had to be cut. This didn’t seem to bother the band too much, with Perry Farrell and Co taking it coolly in their stride.
But apparently, the decision incensed Love so much that she later confronted the ‘Saturday Night Live’ producers, threatening that she "would never do your f**king show again!".
Meantime, Courtney is still beavering away in Los Angeles with the rest of Hole on the band’s new album. No release date has been finalised as yet, but it is hoped the LP, titled ‘Celebrity Skin’, will be released by late spring. Production is now slely in the hands of Michael Biehorn, with Billy Corgan - who was acting as executive producer - having now withdrawn from the project because he bsy with other commitments.
